We understand that travel plans may change, and we aim to make the cancellation and refund process as transparent and hassle-free as possible. The following terms apply to all bookings made with Sikkim Holidays (A Unit of Ethno Trails Holiday Pvt. Ltd.).
Cancellation by the Traveler
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to support@sikkimholidays.in.
The following charges will apply based on the date of cancellation before the trip start date:
More than 30 days before travel:
80% of the total package cost will be refunded after deducting administrative and transaction charges.
15 to 30 days before travel:
50% of the total package cost will be refunded.
Less than 15 days before travel or in case of no-show:
No refund will be applicable.
Partial cancellation (specific services such as hotel, cab, etc.):
Refunds will depend on individual vendor or supplier policies.
Cancellation by the Company
If Sikkim Holidays cancels your trip due to unforeseen operational reasons, natural calamities, or government-imposed restrictions, we will:
Offer a full refund after deducting unavoidable transaction fees, or
Provide an option to reschedule the trip to a future date, or
Issue a credit note/voucher valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Refund Process
Refund requests must be made in writing via support@sikkimholidays.in.
Eligible refunds will be processed within 10–15 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.
Refunds will be made using the original mode of payment.
Transaction fees, service charges, and applicable taxes are non-refundable.
Non-Refundable Components
Airfare, train tickets, or third-party bookings made on your behalf are non-refundable, as per respective vendor policies.
No refund will be made for unused services, such as missed sightseeing, early check-outs, or unused transportation.
Force Majeure Clause
No refund shall be applicable if the trip is delayed, altered, or canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters (floods, landslides, earthquakes, etc.)
Political unrest, road closures, strikes, or government restrictions
Weather disturbances, health emergencies, or pandemics
However, Sikkim Holidays will make every possible effort to assist you with rescheduling or providing alternate arrangements wherever feasible.
